About gtd-app
gtd-app is a personal task app for Getting Things Done: an Inbox, next actions, projects, a daily One Thing and habits, kept in two spaces, Personal and Work, that never share anything. Its owner runs it on a machine of their own, for themselves and the few people they invite. Every page but this one and the login needs a username and password.
Privacy
What you keep in gtd-app stays on the machine that runs it. It is not sold, shared, or used for anything but showing it back to you.
Google Calendar
- A space can connect a Google account, so that Today and the Calendar show its events. gtd-app asks Google for two read-only permissions: to see the list of your calendars, and to view their events. Connecting changes nothing in your Google account.
- If you choose, in the space's Settings, gtd-app also asks for a third permission: to make calendars of its own and change the events on them. It then keeps the space's calendar items on one calendar it makes, and changes nothing else in your Google account: that permission reaches only the calendars gtd-app made.
- It reads your events only when a page that shows them opens, and only for the days that page shows, from the calendars you choose in the space's Settings.
- It keeps the permission Google gave it, sealed with a key kept apart from the data, and a copy of the events it last read, to show when Google does not answer. Neither leaves the machine, and neither is used for anything else.
- Disconnecting the space in its Settings deletes both, and asks Google to end the permission, unless another of your spaces still uses the same Google account. You can end it yourself at any time in your Google Account, under Third-party apps with account access.
gtd-app's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
